- 2 classes/week, 2 hour each
- Every Monday at 7:15-:915pm
- Every Thursday at 7:15-9:15pm
If you understand the concepts of object-oriented programming and basic web design and want to take those basic skills to the next level, this is your class. Not only will you dig deeper into math–based programming, you will also be introduced to faster languages for smaller projects.
You will learn:
- Advanced Java programming
- How to program complex applications
- Solve more complicated real world problems.
- C programming (Introductory)
- Interpretive programming including Scheme and Matlab languages
We provide:
- In person instructors, teaching programming within a structured format
- Individual programming “sandbox” in the cloud in which each student will be able to practice coding projects – Real time projects and feedback from instructors will strengthen your understanding of what is taught.
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Code applications for both Android and IOS smartphones/tablets.
- Have improved understanding of languages including: Java, HTM, CSS, Scheme, Matlab, JavaScript (node.js), ASP.net, and Visual C#
- Better communicate with peers and colleagues regarding programming challenges and ideas.
- Basic knowledge of how to configure and run a server
- Be prepared to learn advanced web design
- Feel confident about your improved skills
- Present yourself as a serious candidate as a programmer for corporate and startup jobs.
This class will be instructor-led and customized to answer the specific gaps you have in your knowledge base. While this class will be interactive, it is fast paced, and there will be assignments to be completed between classes. For those students who attend the entire 12 week program and successfully complete the coursework, a senior recruiter from Priceline.com will meet one on one with you to discuss career opportunities at Priceline which is headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut.
